Cocktails and Sunshine with Annie the Airstream at Ludlow Races Ladies Day

What a weekend it was! The sun shone, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, and our lovely trailer, Annie the Airstream, stood proudly at Ludlow Races for an unforgettable Ladies Day. Set against a stunning backdrop of horse racing and enthusiastic crowds, we had the joy of serving some fun,refreshing cocktails.

From freshly mixed mojitos to delightful Aperol spritzes, our cocktail menu burst with choice. The air filled with laughter and chatter as guests enjoyed their drinks, making the most of the sunshine.

The Venue: Ludlow Races

Ludlow Races is renowned for its breathtaking views and exhilarating horse races. Nestled in the beautiful Shropshire countryside it is the perfect backdrop for a day out in the sunshine.

Ladies Day at Ludlow is a super fun day out. Where fashion meets excitement, as many guests dress to impress while cheering for their favourite horses. We loved spotting all the gorgeous outfits and guessing who would be winning best dressed!

We take our cocktails seriously, and this event was no exception. Our cocktail bar was stocked with a colorful selection of spirits and fresh ingredients, ensuring each drink was unique and delicious. No pre-mixed Pimms or Aperol here!

Let's look at a few of the cocktails that featured on the day:

Mojitos

We kicked off with our fresh mojitos. Crisp mint (From our garden I should add!), zesty lime, and a splash of soda made these drinks a must-try. They were refreshing, and ideal for keeping cool under the sun.

Aperol Spritz

Next came the classic Aperol spritz, a true staple of sunny days with the Grazing Brew Box. With its eye-catching orange hue, it quickly became a favourite among ladies celebrating summer. A simple to make yet absolute classic option!

Pimms and Hugo Spritz

We couldn’t overlook Pimms, a British classic. Served with an array of colorful fruits for those extra vitamins ;)

And our twist on the Hugo spritz—combining Prosecco with elderflower syrup and fresh herbs is always a favourite choice.

Limoncello Sangria

For those seeking something different, our limoncello sangria was a winner. This was by far our most popular cocktail of the day and is actually a new one for our menu this summer. This refreshing take on traditional sangria combined citrusy flavors and a hint of sweetness, perfect for leisurely sipping while enjoying the rays.

Martinis

Last but certainly not least, our martinis delighted guests, whether they preferred them shaken or stirred.

After such a fabulous day filled with cocktails, sunshine, and laughter, we can’t wait to return to Ludlow Races.
